Early Childhood Educators

The Midlands Rural and Remote Childcare Service, operated by the Northern Midlands Council are expanding, which results in the need to recruit two permanent part-time Early Childhood Educators. 

 Our first vacancy is a diploma qualified position to work in our long day care and after-school care program.  This position will be approximately 34 hours per week.  The second vacancy requires a minimum certificate II qualification and will work in our after-school care program, approximately 16 hours per week.  Both positions will be based at our centre in Perth, Tasmania.

To be considered for these vacancies, you must hold the prerequisite qualifications (as stated for each position), have a current Working with Children Check and preferably hold a current first aid certificate. 

Applicants should also have previous experience, acquired in another childcare service.  In addition to this, you will also have excellent communication skills, including active listening skills, a sound understanding of the health and safety risks involved in working with children and be able to demonstrate sensitivity, patience and kindness.

Remuneration and terms and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the Northern Midlands Council Enterprise Agreement 2016 – 2019.
